2 weeks until move day!!!!

The house is now locked so we met our project manager's assistant today so we weren't breaking any rules. The painters were in the house sanding, touching up, and painting the house. Nice! The electrical, media, and lighting is all done. They said that the painting will be done today and then the cleaner will be in tomorrow morning and then carpet installed tomorrow afternoon. After that small touch ups. So two weeks from today we will be moving into our new house! The sheer amt of area that needs painted is overwhelming but I know I can do that slowly. For now, here are some odds and ends pictures of the house from today. Oh yeah-we have a driveway and porch now!!

Our vinyl flooring was installed as well as our ceramic in the master bathroom! Exciting!!!!!! (can someone use too many exclamation points?) Trim is supposed to be next.

Oh, and the best news yet..........wait for it........wait for it........we have our presettlement walk through on September 9th and we close on September 10th!!! Now that deserves multiple exclamation points!

Paint--holy cow!

I seriously cannot believe my house is REALLY close to being finished! It is amazing that two weeks ago we were in a shell of a house and how it is super super close to being livable. The walls are painted/primed. Not sure if another coat is going on or not. I am ok with not. The siding if about 90% finished. I do believe the vinyl and ceramic flooring are being installed tomorrow. The molding and finishing pieces are Friday. So I know these pictures are super boring. White walls in a house. Hopefully soon I will posting pictures of painted rooms with furniture in them!!

Starting fresh--zeroed out!

Drywall almost finished and siding started

As of Saturday the drywall is up and two or three coats of mud have been put up. The ceiling hasbeen finished. It looks like it is ready for prime and paint. According to our project manager it will finished and painted this week then the vinyl and ceramic flooring will be installed. Finishing trim will be hung on Friday. I am incredibly pleased. We are on schedule to have our presettlement meeting on September 8th. Good-because that is when I scheduled my vacation from work. Here are some more progress pictures of the siding and dry wall.

As of today all of the drywall is hung. The scaffolding is up for the siding. My brick is washed and looks sooo much more like what we picked out. We should hear this week when our closing date is. Woo hoo! Here are some of the dry wall pictures. Sorry they are pretty boring...I do have to say that it is looking much more like a house.
